Iran Remains Major Crude Supplier to Japan

TEHRAN, May 4 (FNA)- Official reports showed that Iran has supplied around half a millions barrels per day of crude oil to Japan in March and has, thus, been the third supplier of crude to East Asian country.
Japan's crude oil import in March declined 6.3% from a year earlier to an average of 3.78 million barrels per day (bpd).
Oil shipments from the Middle East accounted for 90.9% of total imports, up 2%, the agency at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said in a preliminary report.
Saudi Arabia remained Japan's biggest oil supplier in March, exporting 1.2 million bpd. The United Arab Emirates was second with 0.909million bpd, followed by Iran, which supplied 0.425 million bpd.
