Upon arrival, Iran's foreign minister was welcomed by UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Muhammad Gargash.

During his day-long stay in the UAE, Salehi is due to meet with his counterpart in that country and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktum.

Accompanied by a number of Iranian officials from the Majlis and Foreign Ministry as well as some staff members of the country's media, Iran's foreign minister left for the UAE Sunday morning.
