Gusar to host international universal fight tournament
Baku, May 10 (AzerTAc). The Gusar Olympic Sports Complex will host an international universal fight tournament commemorating national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Kicking off Friday, the tournament will see participation of a total of 130 fighters from Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Romania and France.
The men`s event will feature bouts in 9 weight categories while women will compete in 7 classes.
The tournament has been held since 2004. Last year Azerbaijan topped the tournament`s medal table, followed by Russia and Romania.
