Iranian FM reviews regional issues with Iraqi premier
Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi discussed issues of bilateral interest including the current regional situation with Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki here Wednesday.
Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari was also present in the meeting.
The Iranian foreign minister is heading a ranking delegation to the country.
During his two day visit, Salehi will negotiate ways for fostering mutual ties and the latest regional developments with top Iraqi officials.
After the fall of Saddam Hossein’s regime, Iran and Iraq enjoy cordial relations witnessing a significant growth in the recent years.
