Baku hosts show jumping International tournament
Baku, May 12 (AzerTAc). The international contest will be held at the Serhedchi riding center in Novkhany, a settlement in Baku, from 12 to 14 May.
The tournament brings together 8 sportsmen and 20 horses from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Poland. Sportsmen of Serhedchi and Gunay clubs, as well as members of the Azerbaijani national team Jamal Rahimov and Patrick Mc Entee will compete for our country.
Main contests will be held on the last day, on 14 May, when the Grand Prix final will be held. The contestants will have to overcome barriers of 140-160 cm in height.
The prize fund of the contest hits $156,000. Referees from Turkey, Iran and Greece will judge the contestants, and the ranking points, scored by the outcomes of the tournament will be taken into accounts during the fight for Olympic licenses in London and for a place in the World Cup.
