President Ilham Aliyev inspects work carried out in Mardakan settlement of Baku
Baku, May 12 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today visited Mardakan settlement of Baku`s Khazar district over on-site inspection of what have been done thus far to implement instructions that the Head of State gave with respect to socio-economic development of suburban settlements of Azerbaijan`s capital.
Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov briefed the Head of State on the works done in the settlement.
The President was told some 16.500 thousand square meters of the roads got a new asphalt cover. Moreover, 19 thousand square meters of the area is planned to be paved a new asphalt cover.
The Head of State was told gas, water and communication lines in the settlement would be renewed.
A modern lighting system will be installed in the settlement, as well.
The President was informed that buildings of the school № 81, infant school and kindergartens № 91 and 221, hospital № 26 and sanatorium for consumptives № 2 will be reconstructed. All facilities will be provided with modern equipments.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev met residents of the settlement.
They thanked the Head of State for the improvement works.
