Jakarta, Sept 5 (ANTARA) - Investors from Abu Dhabi have expressed interest in the development of up to 3,000 MW power plants in Indonesia, a senior official said here on Friday.
Electricity and Energy Utilization director general of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry (ESDM), Purwono said they would use special chemical substance to fuel the power plants.
"They are ready to build a power generator of up to 50 to 3,000 MW," he said after accompanying ESDM Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro during the meeting with investors.
He said that in the initial discussion they did not touch on the details of the investment values.
"Our team will meet them again after the Lebaran post-fasting month festivities," Purwono said.
