Iran enjoys most developed marine facilities - Navy commander

Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said here on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys the most developed marine technologies, installations and facilities in the region.


Talking to IRNA, he reiterated that establishment of marine security and tranquility is in need of developed facilities.

Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys a very good position in the region with regards to its developed marine equipment, he added.

Lauding new achievements of the Navy in recent years, the Navy commander said the country is in need of such modern technologies and tools in order to have an active and powerful presence in the seas.

No regional country is able to compete with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy, Sayyari emphasized.

As to the issue of terrorism, he regretted that the marine terrorism has damaged security of trade shipping in international waters in the past few years.
