20 MINISTERS TO CONDUCT RAMADHAN TOUR
Jakarta, Sept 5 (ANTARA) - Twenty ministers and other ministerial-level officials will visit various regions in Indonesia on a Ramadhan tour aimed at familiarizing the public with their programs and achievements.
"In 2006 only six ministers took part in such tour, in 2007 15, but this year 20 ministers will take part, with the information minister to start the tour in East Java and Jambi," spokesman for the Ministry of Communications and Information Suprawoto said in a press conference here on Friday.
"The President also plans make such a tour," he said, but did not elaborate.
He said the communications and information minister would begin the tour in East Java from September 13 to 14 and then to Jambi from September 20 to 21.
The minister of social affairs, meanwhile, would begin the tour in Banten on September 18 while the Attorney General in Bangka Belitung on September 11, he said.
The Military (TNI) Chief will start the tour from Pontianak on September 10 while the national police chief from Maluku on the second week of this month, he said.
