Envoy Underlines Iran's Strong Support for Nations' Legitimate Demands
TEHRAN,May 15 (FNA)- Iran has always supported the legitimate demands and aspirations of the world nations as a move to help materialize justice throughout the world, Tehran's Ambassador to Doha Abdollah Sohrabi said.
Speaking in a meeting with the president of Qatar News Agency (QNA) in Doha on Friday, the Iranian envoy said, "The Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran have always supported the legitimate demands and wishes of the nations through peaceful means as a move on the path of the materialization of justice in different world societies."
He further cautioned certain Arab media to pay due attention to the interests of the Muslim nations and avoid unreal or biased coverage of developments in the region, specially considering the present sensitive juncture.
The diplomat said the Arab and Islamic media should endeavor to cover the legitimate demands of the people and avoid quoting the reports presented by the western media which do not care for the interests of the Muslim world and Muslim states' stability and security.
Elsewhere, the envoy also called for the expansion of ties and cooperation between the Iranian and Qatari media and press.
He noted the trend of good ties between the two countries in different political, economic and trade areas, and underlined the necessity for Tehran and Doha to develop intimate ties between their media, news agencies, press and TV networks in particular.
