Iran, Romania Urge Expansion of All-Out Cooperation

TEHRAN, May 15 (FNA)- Iranian and Romanian officials underlined expansion of all-out ties and cooperation, specially in the oil and gas sectors.
The issue was raised during a recent visit to Romania by the Iran-Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group headed by Ahmad Nateq Nouri, a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Bureau said on Saturday.

During the trip, the Iranian delegation met with Romania's acting deputy economy minister and vice-president of Romania's chamber of commerce and industries and explored avenues for the further bolstering of mutual cooperation between the two states.

At the meetings, Nateq Nouri noted Iran's capacities and the increasing activities of Iranian companies abroad, and expressed preparedness of the Iranian parliament to take practical steps to support promotion of relations between Tehran and Bucharest.

The Romanian sides also voiced eagerness to deepen ties and cooperation with Iran, and said the two countries' chambers of commerce and private sectors play a significant role in the expansion of Iran-Romania trade ties.

The vice-president of Romania's chamber of commerce and industries also voiced his country's readiness to launch cooperation with Iran in the oil and gas sectors, modernization of petrochemical and cement production plants, supply of spare parts, export of agricultural products and cattle-breeding.
