Source Denies Terrorist Attack on Iran's N. Scientists in Recent Days

TEHRAN, May 16 (FNA)- Informed sources dismissed some recent reports on the assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist earlier this month as "baseless".
"Studies carried out over the incident on May 2 revealed that the preventive measures adopted by the security agents where not driven by the fear of an impending terrorist attack and, thus, all reports alleging the occurrence of such an attack are rejected," an informed security source, who asked to remain anonymous, told FNA on Sunday.

"It seems that certain individuals and streams are seeking some specific goals through fabricating such baseless reports," he added.

Two Iranian university professors Fereidoon Abbasi Davani and Majid Shahriari were assassinated in separate terrorist bomb attacks here in Tehran on November 29, 2010, with the latter killed immediately after the blast.

Another Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, was also assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January 2010.

Both operations were carried out by the hirelings of the Israeli spy agency, Mossad.
