Kazakh poet`s anniversary celebrated in Gabala
Baku, May 23 (AzerTAc). A ceremony to mark the 75th birthday anniversary of Kazakh poet Oljas Suleymenov and his awarding with the Order of “Dostluq” (Friendship) was held in Azerbaijani town of Gabala on Sunday.
The participants included Azeri MPs Elmira Akhundova and Nizami Jafarov, president of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan Anar Rzayev, Chairman of Azerbaijan Artists' Union Farhad Khalilov, as well as Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy`s rector, Deputy Foreign Minister Hafiz Pashayev. The speakers praised poet`s role in strengthening friendship between Azerbaijani and Kazakh peoples.
