Azerbaijan`s Republic Day marked in Budapest
May 25 (AzerTAc). The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary has organized a reception to mark 28 May – Republic Day.
The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, diplomats, students, representatives of general public.
Opening the event, ambassador Vilayat Guliyev spoke of the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
The ambassador noted his country achieved great accomplishments after it regained independence in 1991.
The diplomat also spoke of Armenia`s aggression against Azerbaijan, saying the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict impedes development process in the South Caucasus region.
