Pakistan Security forces foil suicide attempt Monday morning at Nowshera
Rawalpindi, Sept 8 PPI: Pakistan's security forces foiled a suicide attempt early Monday morning at Nowshera in the country's North West Frontier Province NWFP and saved many precious lives.
Reportedly a suicide bomber, 17-18 years of age, who was about to make an attempt on
a Security forces convoy was spotted by two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) Naib
Subedar Muhammad Naeem Akhtar and Naib Subedar Muhammad Rafique, of School of
Artillery.
Both JCOs daringly got hold of suicide bomber physically, a Pakistan Army statement
said. Meanwhile, other security staff also reached the spot and immediately cordoned
off the area to avoid Improvised Explosive Device threat, if any.
Security forces took into custody suicide bomber for detailed investigation.
Reportedly, he was wearing a suicide jacket packed with 10-15 Kgs of explosives.
Bomb disposal squad experts on reaching site, diffused detonators.
