Kyrgyzstan celebrates Azerbaijan Republic`s Day
Baku, May 26 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan organized an event on the occasion of the 28 May, Republic Day of Azerbaijan in Bishkek on Wednesday.
The event brought together deputies of the Kyrgyz parliament, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Bishkek, leadership of Manas University, public and political figures and mass media, Azerbaijan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan said.
Addressing the event, Azeri ambassador Safir Agayev said that Azerbaijan Democratic Republic is the first democratic republic in the East established on May 28, 1918.
Secretary of State of Kyrgyzstan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asein Isayev congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on behalf of the Kyrgyz government on the 93rd anniversary of the ADR.
The event featured feast and concert.
Informative materials on the history of the ADR prepared by the Azerbaijan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan were distributed among state bodies, diplomatic corps accredited in Kyrgyzstan, leading publishing houses and news agencies.
