France hosts PACE Monitoring and Political Affairs Committees`s meetings

Baku, June 1 (AzerTAc). Meetings of PACE Monitoring and Political Affairs Committees were held in French capital Paris on May 30-31.
Rapporteurs on Ukraine, Albania and Serbia and committee members discussed these countries` honoring Council of Europe commitments, state of human rights and courts` role in the monitoring committee meeting.
Political affairs meeting`s discussions focused on the situation in Tunisia, co-operation between the Council of Europe and emerging democracies in the Arab world, Eastern Partnership Programme of the European Union, living together in 21st century Europe, situation in Belarus and other issues.
Chairman of the Milli Majlis commission on international and interparliamentary relations and head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov stated the country`s stance on the issues in both meetings.
