Alert sounded at Chennai airports

Chennai (PTI) - An alert was sounded at both the
domestic and international airports here at the south Indian
city of Chennai, following a bomb threat call received at
Bangalore (another southern city) airport early on Wednesday.
Sources at the airport said that the Central
Industrial Security Force (CISF), which provides the security
cover, has been alerted following the bomb threat call.
Security officials conducted checks on two private
airline flights that had left for Chennai from Bangalore.
CISF personnel accompanied by bomb disposal squad
checked the flights, officials said, adding no suspicious
items were found.
