VICE FOREIGN MINISTER TO BE INSTALLED ON THURSDAY
Jakarta, Sept 9 (ANTARA) - Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda is scheduled to install his Vice Foreign Minister Triyono Wibowo on Thursday, September 11, 2008, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said.
"The foreign minister is expected to install his vice minister on September 11, 2008," Faizahsyah said here on Tuesday.
Triyono Wibowo was named vice foreign minister by President Susilo Yudhoyono through a presidential decree No.87/M/2008 dated August 28, 2008.
He was appointed vice foreign minister after passing through a selection process and a comprehensive consideration.
Triyono was previously Indonesia's concurrent ambassador to Austria and Slovenia. He was also Indonesia's permanent representative to the United Nations in Vienna, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IATA).
Triyono also represented Indonesia in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The president appointed him vice foreign minister as part of the effort to reorganize the structure of the ministry of foreign affairs organization.
With a vice foreign minister, the ministry's organization is expected to be effective in carrying out its foreign and diplomatic mission, task and responsibility.
