International conference on modern oriental studies wraps up in Baku

Baku, June 3 (AzerTAc). An international scientific conference entitled “Urgent problems of Modern Oriental Study” has ended Thursday at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The conference was organized by the Institute of Oriental Studies named after acad. Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS and Research Institute of Turkish and Central - Asian Studies of Romanian Babes-Bolyai University.
The conference`s five meetings featured more than 100 reports. About 193 theses have been sent to the conference.
The conference `s discussion focused on pressing problems of contemporary Oriental Study. Scientists from Azerbaijan, Romania, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Georgia and Finland participated in the conference.
