Kewell considers move to A-League: reports

Socceroos star Harry Kewell is being linked with a possible move to A-League club Melbourne Victory.
The former Leeds and Liverpool midfielder is currently a free agent after his contract with Turkish side Galatasaray was not renewed following the 2010-11 season and is reportedly considering a lucrative offer from the Melbourne club.
Kewell's manager, Bernard Mandic, informed Football Federation Australia that his star client was considering an offer from the Victory after meeting with the club's chairman Anthony Di Pietro in Melbourne last Monday, Fairfax reports.
"Yes, we did catch up," Di Pietro said.
"We knew he was a free agent and we were keen to talk with Harry to find out what his next move was.
"We want to reward our members with the best available players, who can represent our club in Australia and throughout Asia."
The 32-year-old would be signed as a marquee player, which would mean he's exempt from Victory's $2.35 million salary cap, and would likely command a deal in excess of $2 million.
However, Mandic on Saturday tried to quash speculation on the move, stating no deal had been finalised.
"You can add Melbourne Victory to a long list of clubs after Harry, which includes the majority of the A-League," Mandic said.
"We're in no hurry and Harry has said he's not thinking about football for the next couple of weeks."
Kewell has been linked to other A-League clubs, including arch rivals Sydney FC and the Newcastle Jets.
