Body of Canberra man found in US river

The search for a Canberra man missing in the United States for almost a month has ended in heartbreak.
The body of 32-year-old Alex Beddows has been pulled from the flooded waters of the Mississippi River.
Mr Beddows went missing on May 9 after attending a jazz concert in New Orleans during a holiday with his father.
Louisiana police believe Mr Beddows accidentally fell into the river while walking to his hotel in the dark.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) on Monday said US authorities had positively identified the body.
DFAT said its officials were assisting family members in Australia and the United States.
Mr Beddows, affectionately known as Woody, worked as a public servant and was a popular DJ on Canberra's drum and bass scene.
Mr Beddows' mother, Jan, and older sisters Anna and Sarah said they would remember the fun-loving Alex "in the prime of his life, having the time of his life", The Canberra Times reported on its website.
Facebook friends described Mr Beddows as a "gentle giant" and a "friend to so many", the website said.
