Azerbaijani representative attends EITI meeting
Baku, June 9 (AzerTAc). Executive Director of the State Oil Fund, Chairman of the National Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Committee Shahmar Movsumov has attended a meeting of EITI`s managing staff in Amsterdam.
EITI increases transparency over payments by companies to governments and to government-linked entities, as well as transparency over revenues by those host country governments. Azerbaijan joined the organization in 2003 and was approved as a full member in 2009.
Azerbaijan is a first EITI Compliant country among the member states.
