Iran elected as member of ILO Governing Body - Minister

Tehran, June 19, IRNA – Minister of Labor Abdorreza Sheikholeslami said Saturday that the Islamic Republic has been elected as one of the members of the Governing Body at the International Labor Organization (ILO).
Winning a majority of votes, 210 ones, Iran was elected as one of the ILO Governing Body members, said Sheikholeslami who attended the 100th ILO Conference.
By this election, Iran will play a more effective role in future decisions that will be made by the Governing Body at the ILO.
The 100th Session of the International Labor Conference concluded on June 17 in Geneva, Switzerland./end
