Iran-Algeria presidents discuss regional developments on phone

Tehran, June 21, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika discussed regional developments on phone on Monday.

Both presidents also reviewed current developments in Libya and Ivory Coast and underlined that all problems should be resolved without interference of aliens.

Independent states never yield to plots of the bullying powers, they said.

According to the presidential website, President Ahmadinejad said that western countries seek to revive their outdated colonial empires.

Existing problems facing countries such as Libya and Ivory Coast should be resolved without interference of aliens and this should be done by local people themselves, said President Ahmadinejad.

Iran is determined to continue supporting brotherly countries of the region as well as other independent nations, he said.

Western powers have been using internet as a means to suppress independent nations and the Islamic Republic of Iran with its invaluable experiences is thwarting such plots and is ready to put its experiences at the disposal of independent states, he said.

Bouteflika, for his part, said independent states oppose plots of the bullying powers and believe that they should give proper response to interference of alien forces.

New technologies have prepared grounds for aliens to take action against independent states, Bouteflika said, calling for making use of Iran’s experiences in thwarting such plots./end
