Talabani arrives in Tehran to attend Intl. Terrorism Conference
Tehran, June 25, IRNA – Iraq President Jalal Talabani arrived here on Friday to attend the International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism will be kicked off in Tehran on Saturday.
Talabani was welcomed at Tehran Mehrabad Airport by Oil Ministry Caretaker Mohammad Aliabadi and Iran’s former Ambassador to Iraq and official in charge of Iran-Iraq Economic Cooperation Committee, Hassan Kazemi Qomi.
Earlier, presidents of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan had arrived in Tehran for the same purpose.
Presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and the ministers in charge of terrorism as well as related experts will attend the two-day meeting.
Strong readiness of Iran neighbors to attend the Tehran conference in a high level is an indication of the countries’ concern over the terrorism phenomenon.
