OANA executive board wraps up work
Beijing, June 29, IRNA – The 33rd Executive Board Meeting of Organization of Asia and Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, wrapped up its work on Wednesday.
In the closing ceremony, Helmi Bengi, Director General of Anatoly News Agency, who had rotating chairmanship of the OANA, called the 2-day meeting very useful and constructive.
Referring to experts' discussions, he underlined necessity of following up the proposed issues in the meetings and said that exchanging photos and films and using new media and multi media by the member news agencies are so important.
At the closing session, members approved that the 50th founding anniversary of OANA will be commemorated in Thailand on coming December.
The OANA was founded in 1961 and its first meeting was held in Thailand./end
