Rahimi arrives in Baghdad for bilateral talks

Tehran, July 6, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, heading a delegation, arrived in Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday.
During his stay, Rahimi and his high-ranking eco-political delegation are to sign several agreements with the Iraqi side.
Rahimi left Tehran for Baghdad this morning to attend the 3rd session of Iran-Iraq high commission for economic cooperation.
The objective of the trip is to hold talks on issues of mutual interest and review the latest regional and international developments.
Transferring Iran's gas to Europe via Iraq and Syria will be among major issues to be discussed in the meeting.
It is predicted that trade exchanges between the two neighboring states would increase to dlrs 6 billion during the current year./end
