Due Mondi Festival in Italy Welcomes Iranian Play

TEHRAN (FNA)- The participants at the Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds) in Italy welcomed the Iranian stage play named 'the Last Letter' directed by Mehrdad Kouroshnia.
Kouroshnia's comic play which was performed by the Bahman Theater Troupe from the Iranian city of Karaj, was staged for two days at the festival in the ancient Italian city of Spoleto on July 4 and 5, 2011.

The play narrates the story of three men, played by Iranian stage actors Pouria Rahimi, Navid Mohammadzadeh and Meysam Norouzi, at the scene of a battle.

Stage designer Arvand Dashtaray, composer Ali Shahbazi, and co-director Mohammad Kouroshnia are among the crew accompanying the troupe during their Italy performance.

The Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds) is an annual event held in June to early July in Spoleto.

Situated in the heart of the Italian region of Umbria, Spoleto is taken over by a whirlwind of artistic activity in the fields of classical music, theater, visual arts and cinema.
