Iran-Slovenia sign several agreements on bilateral cooperation

Ljubljana, July 12, IRNA – Iran and Slovenia have signed an agreement on promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of scientific, academic and cultural activities, it was reported Tuesday.

The document was inked Monday by Iranian and Slovenian officials during a day-long visit to Slovenia by Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi who is currently on a tour of several European countries.

Later in the day, Salehi left Slovenia for Vienna, Austria.

According to the agreement, the two capitals are to cooperate in the fields of tourism as well as sports, cultural and scientific activities.

While in Ljubljana, Salehi inaugurated Iran’s embassy in the Slovenian capital city./end
