Official: Confronting US hegemony source of Iran’s pride, power

Kuala Lumpur, July 18, IRNA – Iran’s Vice-President for Parliamentarian Affairs Mohammadreza Mir-Tajjeddini said confronting the US hegemony and Zionist regime threats has won Iran further dignity and authority in the world.

Talking to a gathering of Iranians residing in Malaysia, Mir-Tajjeddini said, resistance against expansionist policies of the western world has been the secret behind Iran’s power in today's world.

Mir-Tajjeddini further stressed that the Islamic Republic will not accept presence and dominance of western countries in the region and will confront US-Zionist regime plots with all its might.

The official also referred to the country's achievements in different arenas over the past 32 years, adding that the loyalty shown by Iranians to the original ideals of the Islamic Revolution has inspired many brilliant successes for the nation, raising it to the heights of glory and power.

Mir-Tajjeddini also referred to Iran’s attempts to create stability and peace in the region, noting that Tehran's ever-increasing military might sent the message to the world arrogance that it would fight the enemies of Islam armed with its own ideals./end
