Iran strongly counters terrorist groups - Mehmanparast
Tehran, July 19, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Tuesday that any insecurity and instability caused by terrorist groups in the Iranian border regions will be severely countered.
Mehmanparast made the remarks while speaking to domestic and foreign reporters during his weekly press briefing.
Asked about the recent conflicts in the border areas between Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and a terrorist cell linked to the Party for Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK), he reiterated that they will not be allowed to to endanger borders' security.
Mehmanparast stressed that the incidents took place in the Iranian border area./end
