Pentagon lauds Yemen efforts to thwart terrorist threats

SANA'A, Sep. 15 (Saba) - US Assistant Secretary of Defense Michael
Vickers praised the military operations the government have carried
out lately to thwart terrorist threats in the country.

During his meeting with senior security officials on September 13 -
14, Vickers said that the US administration would continue its
support to Yemen in field of fighting against terrorism, the GPC-run
almotamar.net has reported.

The US security official voiced its administration's support to
returning the Yemeni nationals detained in Guantanamo camp.

The visit aims to discuss cooperation between Yemen and US in field
of combating terrorism as well as the issue of establishing a center
for receiving these detainees.
