Salehi: All should unite to deal with global terrorism

Tehran, July 27, IRNA – Outgoing Norwegian Ambassador to Tehran Roald Nass conferred on Tuesday with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on issues of mutual interests as well as regional and global developments.

According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the meeting, Salehi expressed regret over terrorist incident in Norway which claimed lives of many civilians.

Terrorism has penetrated into one the most stable countries in Europe and this requires vigilance on the part of the country’s officials who should get united in fight with global terrorism, Salehi said.

He described the current relations between Iran and Norway as satisfactory and said there is ample economic opportunities which should be seized to broaden ties between the two nations.

The outgoing Norwegian ambassador, for his part, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for condemning the terrorist act in his country and said this was a warning to the Norwegian society.

“We hope to witness expansion of all-out cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran as there are huge potentials in both countries,” he said./end
