Qatar Red Crescent Launches "Abwab al-Kheir 1432 H
Doha, July 27 (QNA) - Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched its10th annual Ramadan campaign "Abwab al-Kheir" for Ramadan 1432 H.
Speaking on the occasion, QRCS Executive Director, Saleh Ali Al Mohannadi extended thanks and gratitude to all those who participated over the past nine years in funding this campaign, which succeeded so far to implement 25 social development projects targeting 600000 poor and needy in more than 16 countries.
This year's campaign aims to expand the scope of its work and increase the impact of its programs thanks to the Qatari community, known for its generous support to all needy people, and residents of Qatar's financial contributions, said Al Mohannadi.
For his part, QRCS finance and resources development director Ahmed al-Qahtani said that the campaign includes five major sections; namely Ramadan internal and abroad projects, the ongoing charity ( sadaqah jaariyah), Foreign social and medical programs and projects besides Children's medical projects.
QRCS has allocated QR 2.875.000 to implement a comprehensive program during the Holley month of Ramadan; comprising the Iftar program, Zakat al-Fitr''s project and the distributition of food, basket parcels and vouchers in 13 countries, which are: Qatar, Palestine (West Bank), Jerusalem, Lebanon (the refugee camps), Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Niger, Afghanistan, China, Chechnya, the Balkans, Kazakhstan, Comoros and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Relief and International Development Department, acting Yousra Hammad Bagadi said.
