‏QC Allocates More Than QR 23mn for Ramadan Projects & Programmes

Doha, July 27 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) has announced its Ramadan charity projects including social, recreational and advocacy programmes within and outside the State, at a total cost of up to QR 23.5 million to benefit more than one million people.
‏ The QC projects for Ramadan this year cover areas of Zakat, orphans aid, and development projects as well as a package of activities including Iftar, offering aid to the needy families, distribution of Zakat al-Fitr, gifts to the orphans as well as another package of cultural activities and public and awareness.
‏ Mohamed Al-Ghamdim. Executive Director of the Local Development at QC, said the campaign also urges offering donations.
‏ He noted that the cost of Ramadam projects and programmes in Qatar reaches more than QR 10.5 million. The number of beneficiaries is expected to reach more than 326.000 people, he said adding that the total cost of these projects outside of Qatar with a focus on countries where disasters or humanitarian circumstances about QR 13 million , which is expected to benefit about 700 thousand people.(QNA)
