Iran, Tajikistan ready to foster bilateral relations
Dushanbe, July 30, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali-Asghar She’rdoost and Tajik Minister of Foreign Affairs Hamrokhon Zarifi conferred Friday evening on two sides’ keenness to promote bilateral relations.
Iran’s envoy also expressed Tehran’s readiness to foster cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and culture with the Tajik side.
The two further elaborated on the future visit of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Dushanbe which is to take place in about two months' time.
During his visit to Tajikistan, President Ahmadinejad is due to inaugurate the first phase of Sangtoudeh II power plant project.
The Islamic Republic has made $180m investment in the project./end
