SK Engineering wins US$166 mln order from UAE

SEOUL, Aug. 9 (Yonhap) -- SK Engineering & Construction Co., a South Korean builder, said Tuesday that it has signed a US$166 million deal to build a housing complex in a western region of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Under the deal with the state-run Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), SK Engineering will build residences for ADNOC staff at an industrial complex at Ruwais, some 250 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi. The residential complex of eight 12-story apartments will house 768 households, said the builder.
SK Engineering said that it will take 27 months to complete the project. SK Engineering is also working on refinery facilities and another residential complex in Ruwais.
