Pak Commerce Minister accepts invitation to visit India

Islamabad, Aug 10 (PTI) Pakistan's Commerce Minister
Makhdoom Amin Fahim Wednesday accepted an invitation from his
Indian counterpart Anand Sharma to visit New Delhi with a
delegation of businessmen.
Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal extended the
invitation when he called on Fahim at his office here.
The envoy informed Fahim that his Indian counterpart
would like to carry the bilateral dialogue process forward.
Fahim accepted the invitation though the date for the
visit is yet be decided, an official statement said.
Fahim expressed his gratitude for the invitation and said
he was looking forward to visiting India.
He further said that talks held between the Commerce
Secretaries of India and Pakistan earlier this year had been
very fruitful and both officials had "worked very hard in
streamlining trade issues between the two countries".
Fahim, however, noted that there was "a political
dimension to this issue and the talks between the two
ministers would help in resolving" this, the statement said.
