Militants hurl grenades aimed at CRPF camps in Srinagar

Srinagar(Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 13 (PTI) Ahead of the
Independence Day, militants Saturday night carried out two
grenade attacks on CRPF camps in the heart of the city but
there was no casualty, official sources said.
The militants lobbed a grenade at the Central Reserve
Police Force (CRPF) camp house in Hotel Kahkashan at Nowpora
in Khanyar area of the city at around 9 pm, the sources said.
They said the grenade exploded in the lawn of a nearby
residential house but there was no damage in the blast.
The ultras carried out another attack on a CRPF camp
located in Hotel Ikhwan, less than one kilometre away from
Hotel Kahkashan, 10 minutes later, the sources said adding the
grenade missed the intended target and landed on the roadside.
