Lebanese minister voices readiness for broader co-op with Iran

Beirut, Aug 17, IRNA – Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn announced his country's readiness for broad cooperation with Iran.
In a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi, the minister further hailed the recent progresses achieved in Iran which he said was due to the country’s rich and ancient culture.
He also appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for Lebanon in the most adverse conditions and said Tehran has become a role model in staying loyal to aspirations of the Palestinian nation.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador outlined the country’s latest achievements in different areas including military and said Tehran was ready to cooperate and exchange experiences with Beirut.
Roknabadi further handed over the Lebanese minister an invitation from his Iranian counterpart to visit Iran which was accepted by Ghosn./end
