President meets with men of art, literature
Tehran, Aug 17, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with cultural figures, writers and artists here on Tuesday evening.
The meeting was held on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (PBUH), the second infallible Imam of Shia Muslims.
In his speech, the president called art backbone of culture and said every lasting beauty in history is a result of its presentation in the language of art.
A number of artists in different fields of literature, visual arts, music, painting, cinema, theatre and television presented their problems in their speeches before president's talk.
At the end of the ceremony, participants broke fasting by taking part in an iftar reception in the presence of the president./end
