Karachi violence: 11 more bullet riddled bodies found

Karachi, August 19, 2011 (PPI): At least 11 more bullet riddled bodies with torture marks were found from different areas of the city since Thursday midnight.

Most of the bodies found were legs and hands tied with rope and stuffed in gunny bags, rescue sources said.

They said on Friday two bullet riddled bodies were found from Gulshan Iqbal, one from Block 5 area identified as Hosh Muhammad in his early twenties. His body was taken to Liaquat National Hospital. And another one from Block 3 area identified as Sharif Gabol in his fifties. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Four bullet riddled bodies were recovered from Lyari River. Two of them recovered from Khamosh Colony area seem in their mid-twenties however identities of them are yet to be ascertained. The other two one found from Bakra Piri, Gulbahar area, one of them identified as Rizwan son of Babo Khan. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital Karachi.

Furthermore, body of a person was found from New Karachi sector 11-G. The deceased has been identified as Sagar, 22, son of Amanullah and was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Another body of a man was recovered from garbage dump in Kharadar. The Identity of deceased could not be ascertained and was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi.

On Friday morning, three bodies of men were recovered from Pak Colony Area however identities of deceased persons are yet to be ascertained. The bodies were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
