Govt sends proposal to team Anna to break impasse
New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Indian Government Sunday night
sent a proposal to Team Anna Hazare in a bid to break the
impasse over the Lokpal Bill.

Arvind Kejriwal said the government has sent a proposal which,
he said, has nothing new and none of the demands of the team
has been met.
"We have received a proposal from the government which is
nothing but the Government's Lokpal Bill. None of our demands
has been included. There is no agreement between civil society
and government," he told Hazare's supporters.
Kejriwal also dismissed media reports of an agreement
reached between the civil society and government, terming them
as false.
"TV channels are reporting that there is an agreement.
But the reports are wrong. There is no agreement," he said.
Indore-based spiritual leader Baiyujji Maharaj, who held
talks with Hazare in the morning, said no agreement has been
reached between the two sides.
"Yes. It is true that no agreement has been achieved
between the two sides," he told a television channel when
asked to comment on Kejriwal's remarks.
"I can't say that," he said when asked whether there
would be an agreement between the sides by Monday evening.
