Iran FM off to Somalia to review crisis situation
Tehran, Aug 23, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi early on Tuesday departed for the famine-stricken African state of Somalia to review the crisis situation in that country.
Heading an Iranian delegation including experts from the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Salehi is due to hold talks with Somali officials on the crisis and visit the refugee camps.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the pioneers which rushed to help the famine-stricken Somalis./end
