2 militants killed in separate encounters in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 23 (PTI) Two unidentified militants were
killed Tuesday in separate gunbattles with security forces in
Handwara area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district in the north
Indian state Jammu and Kashmir.
An unidentified militant was killed in the ongoing
operation launched by security forces in Dard Haji area, a
police spokesman said.
Monday, a woman was killed and her husband injured
after they were caught in the crossfire between security
forces and militants.
The spokesman said the operation against the ultras was
still in progress.
Another militant was killed in a separate encounter in
the district.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain ultras
were not yet known, the spokesman said.
