CS summons report on relief services
Karachi, August 19, 2011 (PPI): Chief Secretary Sindh, Raja Muhammad Abbas has acquired update progress of relief services being rendered in rain-affected areas, covering the primary responsibilities, precautionary measures and coordinated efforts, throughout the province for protection of roads, buildings, human lives and livestock.
The Secretary of Local Government and Rehabilitation Department and DCOs of calamity hit districts have been asked to submit comprehensive reports within two days.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary has directed all the heads of departments and DCOs to ensure district vigilance of all relief services and initiate disciplinary action against deficiency and unwillingness at end of officers/officials, performing the relief services to combat Monsoon-2011, with effectiveness.
