JI to observe Dr Aafia day on 16th Sept
LAHORE, September 07, 2011 (PPI): The Jamaat e Islami will observe Dr Aafia Day on September 16, to highlight the need for the release of nation's respected daughter, Hafiza Dr Aafia Siddiqui and to express
its solidarity with the families of the missing persons.
Protest meetings on the continuous detention of Dr Aafia will be held on the day outside the Press Clubs of major cities all over the country which would be addressed by JI leaders. The JI chief, Syed Munawar Hassan, will address the protest rally outside Karachi Press Club while the JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, will address the protest meeting at Islamabad Press Club. The rally at the Lahore Press Club will be addressed by JI Deputy Secretary General, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha. JI deputy chief, Sirajul Haq will address the Peshawar rally while JI Baluchistan chief Abdul Mateen Akhundzada will address the Quetta protest meeting.
