Ahmadinejad Assures of Iran's Strong Support for Regional Nations

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed that Iran will continue supporting and standing by the regional nations.
"Regional nations should know that the Iranian nation, the dear Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran stand by them and all justice seeking nations to the end," Ahmadinejad said at the closing session of the First International Islamic Awakening Conference here on Sunday.
Ahmadinejad further expressed the hope that present developments in the region would result in solidarity, unity and authority of all monotheists against the arrogant powers.
Elsewhere in his address, the president said that freedom is a divine gift.
Ahmadinejad said divine messengers have been assigned to save man from captivity.
He said any society, afflicted with factional prejudices and racial discrimination will never taste freedom.
He noted that the goal of a prosperous society is to provide man with freedom and help him attain divine perfection.
The first conference on Islamic Awakening kicked off work here in Tehran on Saturday in the presence of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The conference, attended by Iran's top officials, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, continued for two days.
Chairman of Iran's Experts Assembly Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani, Guardian Council Secretary Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, Intelligence Minister Haidar Moslehi, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalali, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, Leader's Top Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati, Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi along with tens of other Iranian officials took part in the conference.
Over 600 foreign thinkers and intellectuals from 80 world countries and over 400 elites from Iran attended the two-day conference.
