IRGC navy to be equipped with new cruise missiles

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA - Simultaneous with the end of Sacred-Defense Week, defense ministry is to deliver new home-made cruise missiles to the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) naval forces on Wednesday.

According to the publicity department of the defense ministry, the home-made cruise missiles named “Ghader” with a range of 200 kilometers would be delivered to IRGC naval forces in presence of Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi.

Ghader with high destructive power can target enemy warships as well as aircraft carriers within its range.

Other specifications of Ghader is its ability to fly on low altitude, low weight, small measures and its very high precision in targeting enemy positions.

Ghader is a guided missile that carries an explosive payload and can be fired from shores or ships./end
